Hey Whimseyboxers! Firstly I have a favor to ask. We’re working on some tote bags that we can use for giveaways and we have a post up on Facebook where you can vote for your favorite design. Would you comment on the post and let us know which design you like best? If you do, you just might find one of them in your mailbox in a few weeks :)

We’re still up here at Excelerate Labs LEARNING LEARNING LEARNING. (For a peak inside check out this post on Refinery29 where they caught me chatting with Bri from a beanbag chair.) And in between all of the learning, we’re trying to apply some of our new knowledge. Patrick has been coding away so I thought I’d share some of the updates to the site we’ve made so far:

• Perhaps you’ve noticed the new homepage?

  The look is going to continue to evolve over the next few weeks but it’s already a vast improvement over my original WordPress version. And the blog now resides at blog.whimseybox.com. We’ve tried to patch any problems, but if you run into broken links, please let us know!

• New signup process!

  All of you OG (original) Whimseyboxers signed and paid through Paypal. It was a great place to start, but now we have a more robust system in place. New users that signup to Whimseybox pay right here on our site. (Payments are processed by Stripe with the highest level of security. You can read more here. Whimseybox does not see/touch/possess your credit card data at any time.) If you have any questions about payments or securty, please let us know!

• Improved account management!

  Whimseyboxers who have signed up through our new system are able to update their address, payment information and profile by logging in to their account. Hooray, direct access to your info and fewer emails to Bri! We hope this makes all of our lives easier.

• Skip a month!

  Traveling, or just have a really busy month? Soon you’ll be able to choose to skip a month if you need a month with a little less Whimsey. We’ll share more information about how this feature will work in the coming weeks.

• Refer a friend!

  Login to your Whimseybox account and go to the Referrals tab where you can find a unique link to share with friends and family. Every new user that you refer will earn you 10 points and we’re kicking off the program with a great offer – earn 30 points and get a FREE 3 month subscription! More details on this to come.
