Whimseybox now calls Boulder, Colorado home and there are so many reasons why we love it here. Top of the list might be Boulder’s love affair with beer.
The “People’s Republic of Boulder” has been cultivating it’s relationship with beer since it’s inception. Home brewing has made way for local microbreweries which offer award winning brews in all flavors and styles. From dark to light, hops to malts, Boulder has a beer for all pallettes. Seriously, this is the Napa Valley of beer!
Boulder Beer Co. entered the scene in 1979 as Colorado’s first and the country’s second craft brewery. Started by two University of Colorado physics professors in a goat shed, Boulder Beer is a major influence in the craft beer movement. So, who better to team up with for our Crafts and Craft Beer night than the pioneers of microbrews.
This event is being held at Boulder Beer’s brewery and pub (they moved out of the goat shed long ago) in East Boulder. The tickets are $10 and include your first beer, a tour of the brewery and all the crafting and conviviality you can handle. Beer Crafts author Sean Gascoyne-Bowman will be joining us as we tap into our creativity and transform beer cans into birdhouses.
Drinks and DIY, Carboloading for Crafts, no matter what you call it, it’s a recipe for fun! Pick up your tickets here.
