Ring in the 2013 with a DIY Stamped Calendar, the featured project from this month’s Whimseybox!
Simple geometric stamped shapes make a modern statement. And with some simple Sharpie embellishments it’s subtle sophistication.
Gather your supplies – geometric foam shapes with a sticky back (or cut your own from craft foam), a wood stamping block to stick the shapes onto, a stamp pad, a hole punch and some baker’s twine.
Choose a shape and start stamping. Triangles are my long-time favorite!
Try using various sizes of the same shape.
Or mix in another color if you have some other ink pads around.
Change up the design on different pages.
Consider adding some accents like polka dots with a marker.
When the ink has dried, punch holes where marked on each page and through the chipboard backing.
Stack all of the pages together and the chipboard at the back and thread the baker’s twine through the holes.
Enjoy your new calendar and the new year! Happy 2013!
