DIY Paint Splattered Coasters

Source: 1, 2

Honestly, how can you pass up a good paint splatter project? It’s not everyday you can just go flinging paint around and call it trendy, but in this case, it’s totally justified when you see how cute these DIY paint splattered coasters turn out…

Materials:

  • Craft paint (we chose black and gold)
  • Paint brush
  • Cup
  • Ceramic tiles
  • Tablespoon of water
  • Mod Podge

Put your water in a cup and add just enough paint to where the mixture will just barely drip off of the brush. Lay your tiles out somewhere that can get a little messy, and then start slinging! You don’t have to get too crazy, or do, whichever you prefer. Let them dry and then coat with Mod Podge to seal. Add some felt to the bottom (see here for the how-to) and you’re done!

:) So glad you like them! Aren’t they fun? What I love is that they are as fun to make as they are to see on your coffee table. Makes me want to throw a paint splatter party. ;)

I just tried this and the mod podge wiped off my paint from the tile. Any suggestions? I have friends coming over tomorrow to make these coasters.
