With geometric patterns being all the rage these days, it’s the perfect time to bust out your first grade geometry skills and a fabric pen to create your own DIY patterned fabric!
Materials:
- Fabric pen
- Fabric
First, lay a sheet of paper underneath your fabric so that the marker doesn’t bleed through on your work surface. Next, if you fold your fabric in half, the pen will ink both sides which will cut down on time, and create a cool fade effect. Wether or not you choose to fold your fabric, you can use the fabric pen to start dotting or design your own pattern.
If you chose to fold your fabric, when you’re finishing inking, you can unfold it to see your design!
We chose to use our fabric as gift wrap, but the possibilities are endless: you could make a scarf, shirt, linens, tote bag, clutch, headband.. you get the idea.

this is so lovely! So much more interesting than the cack-handed paper that we all know only too well…
