DIY // Ribbon Bow Clips

DIY ribbon bow shoe clips

Honestly, what doesn’t look cuter with bows? That’s why our motto is “put a bow on it!”. Okay, maybe that’s not true, but it’s pretty close when you can make DIY bow clips as cute as these.

Materials:

  • Two alligator clips
  • Ribbon – we used the beautiful Midori ribbon from our most recent box
  • Hot glue
  • Scissors
  • Fabric stiffener

Cut two 6 inch strips of ribbon and two 1 1/2 inch strips. Fold the ends to meet in the middle and glue the middle with hot glue leaving two loops on each side. Repeat this step for the second strand of ribbon. Use the 1 1/2 inch strips to glue across the middle of each of your previous loops to create the look of a bow.

Spray them with a fabric stiffener to keep them in good shape.

Once the stiffener is dry, glue alligator clips the back of each bow.

You can wear them as hair clips, shoe clips, or an addition to your other accessories!
