In case you plan on tackling a Black Friday shopping spree (or just surviving the traffic with some holiday spirit) we thought we’d help get you prepared for the mad wrapping that follows with a few DIY gift wrap ideas! Here’s two to get you started, and we’ll be back with a few more tomorrow–

DIY Studded Gift Wrap

To make studded wrapping paper, pick up some brads at the office supply store. Then cut your gift wrap to size according to your box. Use a pencil to mark the where front surface of the box will be, and use these as guidelines to insert brads in a polka dot pattern.

Once you have all of your brads inserted, wrap your gift as usual, making sure to align the brads in the center of the front of your gift.

DIY Leather Gift Tags

DIY leather gift tag

Lightly draw or trace the shape of a gift tag onto a piece of leather with a pencil, and cut it out. Use a hole punch/rotary punch to make a hole at the top for string ribbon or twine, and you’re done! Use multiple colors for added interest.
