Last month, we hosted a Share & Win contest for folks posting their projects in the Whimseybox community. Every project posted during the month of January was a chance to win a full year of Whimseyboxes. We’re happy to announce that Whimseybox community member, Sarah Crawford from Ann Arbor, Michigan, is our Share & Win Winner! Sarah has posted many projects in the Whimseybox community, and it was her stamped calendar that the random number generator selected as the winner. The calendar was one of the first projects posted in the community in the new year, and we featured it in a previous Featured Projects post. Here are some of her other great projects. Be sure to keep an eye on the Whimseybox blog for other opportunities to win fun stuff!
Sarah has shared some really adorable crochet creations, like this cute green lacy scarf.
Sarah’s tutorial for this beautiful ribbon rose is incredibly easy to follow.
And since it’s Valentine’s Day, check out this sweet mini wreath Sarah created with various craft supplies and a flower she crocheted herself!
Congratulations, Sarah, and thanks to everyone who has posted, and continues to post projects in the Whimseybox community!

Yippy! Thank you! I’m so happy to have won, I have loved my whimseyboxes :)
Hurrah, Sarah! Thanks so much! :)
Congratulations, Sarah!
I am confused about the community projects. I thought the area was just for whimseybox-based projects ( and that is all I have posted)–but when I look at others’ projects, there are knit and crochet items and all SORTS of things.
So, what is meant to be shared there?
Hi Dree!
So sorry for the confusion – this is an excellent question. Yes, you can post ANY kind of DIY project in the community. We, of course, love to see what you are making with your Whimseyboxes, but we also want to encourage ANY kind of making. Feel free to share whatever you’ve been working on! :)
