Project Roundup: Playing With Paint

Using paint in your craft projects is one of the quickest and easiest ways to add a custom touch to fashion items, home decor and more. Here are some fun paint projects to get you inspired!

I love this dress from Katie of Matsutake, using Ink Effects from DecoArt. It’s such a simple design, but makes a really bold statement. Perfect!

This Galaxy Dress from fellow space geek, Stacie of Stars for Streetlights, is one of my all-time favorite DIY fashion projects I’ve ever seen. Bleach and paint have never been so beautifully geeky. I’m in love!

Sometimes you just need something super simple. Case in point: this cute gold polka dot tank from Cakies.

Get the kiddos involved, and you can paint some adorable keepsake fabric dolls like these from Made by Joel.

Shoes are a great place to embellish with paint. These oil cloth inspired shoes from the Crafty Chica are gorgeous, and she shows you how to make them yourself!

And for the wee ones, here are some sweet customized toddler shoes from Alisa Burke.

What have you been painting lately?
