Your local office supply store holds some of the handiest and most affordable craft aides on the planet. Here are a few of my favorite tips and tricks for raiding your desk drawers for the perfect craft companions.

Using binder clips as a third hand in crafting.

1. Haley at The Zen of Making shares a few handy ways to use binder clips when crafting. If you’ve ever wished for a third hand, binder clips can help with that.

Using clipboards to organize, store and display craft supplies.

2. Elise of Enjoy It uses a wall of clipboards to organize and display papers and embellishments in her office. I like that it’s a practical way to organize that keeps objects out and in front of you without looking too cluttered or crazy.

3. If your fabric stash is out of control and a crazy mess, you’ll want to try this handy tip from Missy of The Little Green Bean. She shows you how to use foam core board to create sturdy bolt boards that make folding, storing and displaying fabric a breeze.

4. You can create cool, mod art with office supply stickers and tape thanks to this tutorial from Jessica of How About Orange.
